A native of Tuscumbia, Alabama, David, spent most of his childhood years dreaming of owning his own youth center. After graduating from high school, David, attended Jacksonville State University, Jacksonville, Alabama. He also, attended Alabama Christian College, Florence, AL, United States Army School of Administration, Fort McCoy, Wisconsin, United States Army Signal Corps., Fort Gordon, GA, Atlanta Georgia School of Training, Atlanta, GA.
Nixon was awarded "Teacher of the Year," at Northwest Shoals Community College, Muscle Shoals, Alabama, for the Alternative School on campus, and Community Life Coordinator for on-campus living.
In addition, David, attended the Michigan National Guard School of Administration in Lansing, Michigan. In the early 80s, he was a free agent to play pro football in Chicago, a member of the Central Football League (CFL) Association for certified officials.
In 1995, Nixon opened the doors to his 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization "Young Gentlemen and Women 2000." Our goal is to instruct, train, and enhance positive character traits from negative thinking in young people.
David J. Nixon is a faith based business consultant, motivational speaker for at risk youth and adult reentry. Nixon and his wife (Sonya), developed a parent involvement program entitled "Parent Ambassadors Inc," which was created to get parents more involved with their children in Title I public schools through the volunteer parent involvement program.
